Social & Community Manager

We are currently seeking a Community & Social Media Manager to join our Marketing Team from our office in Barcelona to contribute to our mission of scaling great games and studios to new heights!

As the Community & Social Media Manager, you will work closely with the Marketing, Player Support, Live Ops, Creative, and Product Teams in delivering best-in-class, cutting-edge community and social media programs. You should demonstrate passion for the gaming industry by implementing a love for the game communities and act as an advocate for players as well as the production teams through forums, live streams, as well as social media outlets:

  • Lead community and social media strategy and execution across your allocated games, overseeing strategies for multiple titles simultaneously.
  • Achieve growth and engagement goals; Draw conclusions from previous social campaigns to increase performance of new ones.
  • Measure the impact of social initiatives on game retention, engagement, and other key performance metrics.
  • Champion and execute new community programs such as VIP, live streaming, direct in-game interactions with players.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our players; Monitor and moderate game communities and their conversations, including managing groups of moderators across platforms like Discord and other social media networks.
  • Mitigate community issues and proactively resolve conflicts within the community to maintain a positive player environment.
  • Report player feedback and identify opportunities based on player comments; Pitch ideas and solutions to relevant teams.
  • Build and manage Discord Servers, Discord bots, Subreddits, and other community spaces tailored to mid-core and hard-core audiences.
  • Lead and manage a Community Ambassador program, maintaining strong relationships with ambassadors to incentivize content creation and engagement within the community.
  • Create and schedule social media posts and track their performance.
  • Create and design assets to support and enhance your social media strategy, ensuring engaging and on-brand content for all platforms.
  • Monitor competitive activity and social media trends; Incorporate best practices in overall content strategy and recommend new campaign ideas and social media tools.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to build social brand presence and contribute to marketing plans with social campaigns.
  • Work closely with Player Support and Development teams to action core issues and improve player sentiment.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure the smooth execution of projects across various teams using an Agile approach

This position reports to the Community & Social Senior Manager and works closely with Marketing, Creative and Product functions. 

 

Skills And Requirements 🌟

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies or related fields or equivalent work experience. (nice to have)
  • +2 years of experience in the mobile industry, with at least 1 year specifically focused on engaging mid-core and hard-core audiences. (must)
  • Familiar with social publishing & listening tools, such as Spredfast, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Passionate about online communities, mobile gaming, and industry trends.
  • Past experience as a content creator (minimum 1 year) is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing groups of moderators on Discord and other platforms, ensuring effective communication and community guidelines.
  • Proven experience in managing a Community Ambassador program, maintaining relationships with ambassadors to drive content creation and community engagement.
  • Past experience with live streaming, VIP programs, in-game player engagement, live events, and direct player interactions, as well as mitigating community-related issues, is a bonus.
  • Coordination and planning of live events for the player community, including regular and/or VIP players.
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading Social Media and Community strategies for different games, with the ability to manage multiple games and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Project Management, with an Agile approach, ensuring efficient project execution and team collaboration.
  • General knowledge of community engagement: from social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Snapchat, TikTok) to in-game guilds and alliances, live streaming, social influencers, and VIP relationships.
  • Proactive approach: Keep a pulse on trends and player feedback to ensure an excellent game experience.
  • Analytical: focused on making data-driven decisions and analyzing game impact.

📍 Location: This position is based in Spain.
